# When can I equip an ITEM in a SLOT / When can I use my ITEMS?

The more <mark style="color:green;">you level up your cyber-yakuza</mark>, the more <mark style="color:green;">items you will be able to use in fights</mark>.&#x20;

You also must reach <mark style="color:green;">a certain level with your Yakuza to use higher level items</mark>.

To equip an item on a slot, it requires:

* The slot **to be unlocked**.
* The slot to be of **the same type as the item I want to equip**.
* The level of your cyber-yakuza **must be high enough to equip the item**. The level needed by the cyber-yakuza to equip the item depends on the level of the item.
